DIRTcar BIG-BLOCK MODIFIEDS THREE CONSECUTIVE WEEKS APRIL 29, MAY 7, MAY 13 AT ORANGE COUNTY FAIR SPEEDWAY!
The earth-shaking DIRTcar-sanctioned Big-Block Modifieds headline racing three consecutive weekends at Orange County Fair Speedway. First on Saturday, April 29, for their inaugural 2023 outing the “behemoths of the clay” will race in a 35-lap feature paying the winner $5,000. Then on a rare Sunday, May 7 race meet, the traveling Super DIRTcar Series rolls into town to challenge the Orange County regular corps of Big-Block Modified drivers in a 75-lap feature that has $7,500 earmarked for the victor. Six day later, on Saturday, May 13, the Big-Block competitors have another 35-lap feature race, again paying $5,000 to win.
Matt Sheppard is the not only the defending champion of this most-competitive racing division, he is also the reigning Super DIRTcar Modified Series titlist. He’ll be challenged by three-dozen or more top Modified competitors from across the entire Northeast and neighboring Canada. Sheppard has already won at Orange County in 2023, having topped the field in the 50-lap Hard Clay Open earlier in the month.
Orange County’s Sportsman drivers will be one of the support divisions at all three of these race meets. The Street Stock racers will see action on April 29 and May 13. Also on May 13, the Rookie Sportsman will add to their on track experience with qualifying and a feature race.
On each race date, the Pits will open at 3:00 pm; the Drive-In and Stands at 4:30 pm. Racing begins at 6:30 pm
General Admission and Drive-In for April 29 and May 13 racing programs is $20.00/$16.00 Senior and Military. Drive-In parking is $1.00. Party Deck $35.00 (2 person minimum, 4 maximum per table). Tower seats are $50.00 each. Children 12 and under are always free. Pit passes are $30.00 member, $35.00 non-member.
For the May 7 Super DIRTcar Series race, General Admission and Drive-In is $35.00/$30.00 Senior and Military. Drive-In parking is $1.00. Party Deck $45.00 (2 person minimum, 4 maximum per table). Tower seats $70.00 each. Children 12 and under are always free. Pit passes are $40.00 member, $45.00 non-member.
