OCFS's first Thursday night Big Block show of 2021 is tomorrow, May 27th. With no major conflicting events, a full field of series drivers and home town heroes is expected. The night's events will consist of two 25-lap qualifiers (draw for pos) to set up a 75-lap feature event! That's a lot of Big Block racing action! There will also be Rookies and Spectator Races!
The H.O Penn Cat 358 Small Block Modified 30 lap feature event was set up after Craig Mitchell, Rich Eurich, and Kevin Root took home the heat race wins. The event kicked off with Danny Morgiewicz and Pat Reiser bringing the field to the green flag. Almost immediately as the green waved, the yellow followed suit for an issue with the Mike Sparta Trucking #28 of Jimmy Spellmon. It would take another complete restart to get going and it was Pat Reiser who grabbed the advantage and took the lead. Reiser got out front and left two young guns battling as Danny Morgiewicz and Charles Loiodice would mix it up with Loiodice getting the edge and taking over second position. As the young guns sat two and three, it was the ageless veteran Richie Eurich on the move. Eurich, one of the pioneers for dirt track racing, would get around the #15m of Morgiewicz for third and then begin to catch the #5L of Loiodice.
